2016 Apple MacBook Air Could Be the Last Device Before the American Tech Giant Discontinues the Laptop Line!

There have been previous rumors that the 2016 Apple MacBook Air could come in two size variants – the 13-inch edition and the 15-inch model. But as of late, there are also speculations that a third 12-inch variant may also come out.

There are also rumors saying that the Apple MacBook Air line would soon be replaced by the MacBook line.

The MacBook Air has not seen a design update in a long time, and it’s likely a revamp would bring it closely in line with the USB Type-C that was featured in the new Apple MacBook when it was launched in March last year.

Meanwhile, Apple CEO Tim Cook has already hinted that the end is indeed near for its MacBook Air line when he said during an interview in December last year that the iPad Pro is almost like a PC or a notebook so there is no more need to buy the latter devices.

Cook added that when people start using the iPad Pro, they will conclude that they will no longer need to use anything else other than their smartphones. From what the company CEO said, it seems clear that Apple is no longer determined to launch as many laptop or notebook lines as it was doing in the past.
