Seven of the current minivans in the market today have been reviewed, tested, and ranked by motoring industry critics and the 2015 Toyota Sienna ranked No. 2 overall, which is a testament to how Toyota has redefined the family wagon.
The ranking also considered reliability and safety data of today’s minivans, reports US News.
Carrying the 2015 Toyota Sienna to a respectable ranking is its refreshed interior that puts premium on quality materials and attractive design, which is considered the best in its class.
The minivan’s dashboard layout features big and easy-to-use climate controls and simple touch-screen infotainment system.
The 2015 Toyota Sienna also draws superb power from its V6 engine that provides powerful acceleration that goes well with its six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive characteristic. It also comes in an all-wheel drive variant though.
With fuel efficiency ratings of 18 miles per gallon for city driving and 25 miles per gallon for highway driving, the 2015 Toyota Sienna has an excellent fuel economy and is regarded by motoring journalists as one of the minivans with composed handling because of its sport-tuned suspension.
A force to reckon with
More than its appealing stance from the outside, the 2015 Toyota Sienna is also a force to reckon with as a powerful vehicle emanating from a 3.5-liter, six-cylinder dual variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) engine. It is capable of exhibiting maximum power of 266 horsepower at 6,200 rpm.
The 2015 Toyota Sienna can conveniently seat seven to eight passengers. What’s more, it also has a 454-kilogram or 1,000-pound towing capacity, which makes it a carry-all family car for any outdoor activity.
It comes in six different variants – the Sienna FWD, the Sienna LE FWD 8-passenger, the Sienna SE FWD 8-passenger, the Sienna Limited FWD 7-passenger, the Sienna LE AWD 7-passenger, and the Sienna XLE AWD 7-passenger.
Redesigned interiors
The 2015 Toyota Sienna also has a redesigned interior that provides for all the creature comforts that a family could ask for in a car including the dual view rear seat Blu-ray entertainment system, a navigation system, an audio system with controls mounted on the steering wheel, and a sliding centre console.
It also sports a Driver Easy Speak feature which makes use of a microphone and the Sienna’s speakers to amplify the driver’s voice in the back of the minivan.
