2015 Porsche Cayenne S to Be Accompanied by Three Additional Models, Including Diesel!

Porsche didn’t use to be very active in the SUV market, but this has been changing recently, as the company has made some very successful releases. Reception to most of Porsche’s offers has been particularly positive in India, where the company is now launching four different new versions of their Cayenne. These are namely the Cayenne Diesel, S, Turbo, and S Diesel – and from what’s been shown, they seem quite diverse in their specifications, enough to attract buyers with different kinds of interests.

There are some changes noticeable in the line as a whole as well, as Porsche have stepped up the power capabilities of the model significantly. At the same time, the new 2015 models boast the same great fuel efficiency that the Cayenne has been known for in general, so Porsche obviously know what draws buyers to each of their products, and how to make the right offer.

Of the four models, the Cayenne Turbo is the one aimed at drivers looking for the most power. It comes with a 4.8 liter V8 engine, and is advertised with a 4.5 second 0-100 acceleration time. For an SUV, this is more than impressive, even though such powerful engines aren’t exactly common in the SUV field in general in the first place. SUVs are traditionally family-oriented vehicles, but there are also special offers like Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo, targeted at drivers who want to feel a little more power under their feet when pushing the pedal.

The S model is the one with a petrol engine, sporting a gas mileage of just under 10 liters per 100 km – not bad for an SUV in its class, although there are better offers on the market nowadays, admittedly. Next, the Diesel and S Diesel models are roughly the same, with the S Diesel boasting slightly better specifications, including an extra 1.2 of volume on the engine, and subsequently nearly 150 extra horsepower.

Last but not least, Porsche are also offering the “Sport Chrono” package as an extra to the models, which can further improve the performance of the vehicle, but it’s meant for buyers who really need extra power on the road – it’s obviously not aimed at the average consumer. Porsche are generally not a brand aimed at these buyers in the first place though, so it makes sense that they would give their customers the fullest range of options when it comes to customizing the actual driving experience of their vehicles. With everything that’s been shown about the 2015 Cayenne, it’s clear that this SUV will be a winner, and its popularity might actually echo through the next few years as well.
