2015 Nissan Murano Gets Good Reviews from Test Drivers, Stands Out with Design!

Nissan’s Murano isn’t traditionally known as a line with a strong focus on design, and the company has been quite insistent to stick to that trend in general. However, lately, the market has been changing, and there’s a lot more competition between brands for recognition now – even between different models of the same brand. And it would appear that Nissan are fully aware of this, as the latest 2015 edition of the Murano spots a distinctive new look, thanks to which the SUV has been getting quite a lot of recognition.

Test drivers have already been expressing positive comments about the new model, focusing on its improved performance, stylish and comfortable interior, and excellent handling. Some were particularly fond of Nissan’s approach to the SUV’s visual design, calling it a welcomed change in the model line, and actually one that’s been necessary for a long time now.

The interior of the 2015 Murano is visibly improved, with a stronger focus on utilizing technology. Various gadgets are spread throughout the internal space, and the SUV is fully compatible with modern smartphones and other mobile devices. At the same time, Nissan’s designers have done an excellent job at presenting this whole configuration in a non-intimidating way, one that’s actually quite intuitive to get around, even for people who aren’t familiar with the Murano in general.

This doesn’t seem to be a standard family SUV, however – the entire interior seems to be geared towards adult passengers, unlike traditional SUV models which tend to feature a specially designed back section tailored to kids. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it just means that the 2015 Murano would be a slightly less attractive option for family-focused buyers. On the other hand, there should be a pretty strong market for an SUV without a specifically child-friendly design.

It should be noted that not all reviewers were so fond of the new exterior design, however. The Murano has changed quite a lot in its 2015 incarnation, and not all opinions have been that it’s for the better. The problem, according to most reviewers in the negative camp, is that the changes in the design compared to the previous versions of the Murano have been a bit too extreme, and the SUV now looks like a concept model more than an actual production design. On the other hand, others have been countering those claims, stating that the design isn’t that outrageous and it’s more of a matter of taste – although everyone seems to be on the same page regarding the fact that the new design isn’t going to be every buyer’s cup of tea.
