In January this year, the 2015 Mazda3 became the best-selling car in Australia, racking up a total of 3,903, which is way better than the 3,472 of the second-running Toyota Corolla Altis. Toyota held the top spot in 2013 and 2014.

Retail prices for the Mazda3 Touring models, SP25 and SP25 GT, have also been reduced by $700 and $800. The diesel XD Astina trim level has been made more affordable by a price cut of $940 with the high-end Astina variant getting the maximum price reduction of $1,150.

All gasoline engine models and sedan range come with either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions while the diesel engine models are offered in hatch form only.

Price range for the 2015 Mazda3 starts from $20,490 for the Neo manual transmission model all the way to $41,290 for the diesel-powered engine XD Astina with automatic transmission.
