Jeep has been around for many years and it has been making off road type vehicles for those outdoor, adventure type just as long. Built with a boxy look, the Jeep popularity has grown a lot over the last decade and the models that you see today are looking a little more modern. The 2015 Jeep Wrangler is not an exception to the rule and has really started to create some buzz online ahead of the actual release date.
The new 2015 Jeep Wrangler has been called a “sport utility” vehicle, but many experts are asking themselves if that is the case, what do the competitors have in mind when they call their creations a “sport utility vehicle”? The brand new Wrangler is going to please the loyal Jeep fan without any doubt. Since 2012, the Jeep Wrangler has been equipped with a 3.6-liter engine that brought along 285 horsepower with it. To go along with that horsepower, just less than 285 pounds of torque was also included.
It was after that major upgrade to the Jeep that more of them were flying off the dealer lots around the country. The 3.6-liter engine came with an automatic transmission for sure, but if you wanted the stick shift, you could option to have the 5-speed manual installed instead. It looks like if you are going with the automatic model then you are going to see about 21 MPG in the city, which is not that bad compared to others in the same category and engine size.
Most of the Jeep Wranglers that you see on the streets today come with 2-doors, but just a few years ago, Jeep added a 4-door model and that has seemingly gotten enough attention as family drivers. Another option that comes a long with ordering a new Jeep is the top. You can get the premium top with the 2 or 4-door models and that is easier to clean and is made up of three layers to help with road noise.
For this year, Jeep is going to be releasing the Jeep Wrangler Sport, Willys Wheeler, Sahara, Freedom Edition, Rubicon and X trim level options. That is plenty of Jeep models to choose from and each of them is going to be unique in its own way. The most popular is the 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport at this point, but the “X” trim model is likely to get more attention this year. There you are getting the 2 or 4-doors, off road tires, electric read lockup and Trak-lok anti-spin rear differentials.
