Compared to the last model, the 2015 Ford Escape has different sheet metal and that is just one of the reasons that you will notice it.
That new design is going to offer consumers more room for passengers and cargo whether you keep the rear seat in place or have it folded down for hauling cargo. On the inside of the 2015 Ford Escape you are going to find a perfectly segmented control panel that has plenty of controls right at your finger tips. The shift knob is positioned at the base of the control console, but that actually gives you more access to the cup holder area right below it and the armrest that follows.
The front-wheel drive 2015 Ford Escape comes with a very fuel efficient, 2.5-liter engine that produces about 168-horsepower, which is more than enough to get you from home to work everyday. If you want a little more power, there is a turbo charged option and the four cylinder Eco-Boost engine that brings the horsepower up to 237. If you are looking for the 2015 Ford Escape Hybrid, there will not be an option for that this time around, according to reports.
You are also only going to be able to choose from the 6-speed automatic gearbox, as the manual option for the 2015 Ford Escape has been scraped this time around. If you are thinking about the turbo charged models, there is one more feature that might interest you. Those models will have the option to upgrade to an “intelligent” all-wheel drive option. It features an option to automatically shift 100 percent of the power to the front or rear wheels in the case that you need more grip to get moving.
