2015 Acura TLX Competes With Volvo, Infinity, BMW, Cadillac, Mercedes & Audi!

There are plenty of places that you are going to find information regarding the new 2015 Acura TLX if you are thinking about buying one. The 2015 Acura TLX is being called the “bread and butter” from Acura and it will be replacing the TL and TSX class when it hits the dealer lot. Just like with all of these other cars that are on the market today, the 2015 Acura TLX is going to bring plenty of technology along with it and that is what consumers are going to be watching closely.

The 2015 Acura TLX brings an all new advanced driver assisted technology and that includes Lake Keep Assist and Road Departure Mitigation. Some new cars that are on the market today will beep from the dash or even vibrate the seat to alert the driver that you are leaving the lane. The 2015 Acura TLX actually has a front side camera that will take the alerts and move the car back into the lane, steering the car for you. This will keep the car in the lane and away from other cars.

The Road Departure Mitigation feature will be watching to see if you are leaving the pavement. If it sees that you are, it will slow the car down and move it back into the lane for you. The feature is quite advanced and might seem like a very futuristic thing when you compare it to cars that were released just 5 or 10 years ago. The tested car that has been reviewed online was reportedly making its own lane on the road and doing much of the minor steering for the driver.

This might be a little off-putting for some as the car takes the wheel from you. Some might even wonder what might happen should the car technology fritz out and does not do what it is supposed to do. The feature, even though it might seem like a great safety feature, it can be turned off by the driver. Just like with any other types of technology inside your car, there are different levels of sensitivity that you can choose to cater to your driving style.

The car comes with a sub-300 hp, 3.5-liter V6 engine that is direct-injection and offers plenty of power. The transmission is a 9-speed, similar to what Chrysler uses, and reportedly can reduce the shifting time by 25 percent. There are plenty of lawyers out there that are lining up to defend drivers of the 2015 Acura TLX using the auto drive options, but according to reports, the driver of the car is still responsible for any accidents that occur even if the car is driving itself.
