’19 Kids and Counting’ Josh Duggar Wife May Have Contributed to Jessa Duggar Seewald’s 48-Hour Labor Prior to Delivery!

Anna Duggar, the wife of Josh Duggar, is now being blamed by some fans for the exhausting labor by Jessa Duggar Seewald early this month before giving birth to her first son with husband Ben Seewald.

Everyone knows that Josh is the first-born son of Jim Bob and Michelle, whose child molestation past, haunted him and his family and eventually caused the cancellation of the American family reality TV series “19 Kids and Counting” on TLC last July.

Jessa gave birth to her son Spurgeon Elliot after a 48-hour labor. The bouncing baby boy measured 21.5 inches long and weigh 9 pounds and 11 ounces at birth.

Before giving birth, Jessa said that she experienced 10 hours of contractions. She said that she was already contemplating on whether to proceed with the all-natural home birth or agree to be taken to the hospital for a medical delivery. She remembers telling her husband Ben that she was done doing labor and will go to the hospital to get an epidural.

She also recalled that her sister-in-law Anna advised her to walk up and down the stairs because that was how she did it before with her first born son Marcus.

Jessa remembered taking on the advice of Anna and they walked up and down the stairs for 20 times until she felt that she can no longer do it. One hour later, she started having contractions.

According to some fans of the Duggar family, Jessa should not have listened to Anna because every single pregnancy is different from others. They believe that Anna should not have told Jessa to do what she did when she was about to give birth to her first-born son, notes Yibada.

True enough, Jessa experienced a long, and exhausting labor. She said that it was different from what she expected.

Sticking to the nickname

The official name of the baby boy of Ben Seewald and Jessa Duggar Seewald is Spurgeon Elliot Duggar Seewald. The baby is named after Charles Spurgeon, a British preacher who lived from 1834 to 1892. Elliot, on the other hand, was given in honor of the late missionaries Jim and Elisabeth Elliot, who worked in South America.

Despite the baby boy’s official full name, Jessa’s family still prefers calling the baby the same name that they used to call him when he was still in the womb of his mother.

In an interview with a magazine after giving birth, Jessa confirmed that her family still calls her son Quincy despite naming him, Spurgeon Elliot, notes Star Pulse.com.

Jessa recalled that when she and Ben found out that they were expecting a baby, they talked about a letter theme for their baby and their future kids and Ben suggested the letter Q.

It was actually a joke, but Ben started calling their baby in Jessa’s womb as Quincy and the nickname just stuck with both of them and their families.

Jessa and Ben and her sister Jill and husband Derick Dillard will star in a series of TV specials on TLC, titled “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” to air next month. The Duggar family are also expected to appear in the specials minus Josh.

Saving the marriage

Meanwhile, Jim Bob recently gifted Josh and Anna Duggar a new brick home worth $345,000 not for anything but to save the couple’s marriage.

After the recent admission of Josh that he cheated on his wife, it is likely that Anna has thought about divorcing her husband. Jim Bob decided to intervene by buying the couple and their four kids a new home which is near the Duggar’s place. But since Josh is in a rehab facility, he is not even there to enjoy the place.

19 Kids Counting

Apart from the idea of greasing Anna so that she will discard the notion of parting ways with her unfaithful husband for good, Jim Bob also wanted to have the family really close so that they can be available to Anna anytime she needs helps with the kids.

Josh and Anna used to stay in a very small area at the Duggar home and given their growing family, they really need more space.
