’19 Kids and Counting’ Fans Get Update on Duggar Family with Recent Wedding of Amy Duggar!

After officially being cancelled by TLC in July, loyal fans of the family reality show “19 Kids and Counting” have been waiting for possible updates to the big family of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

While the network’s decision to end the show as a result of the child molestation controversy involving the couple’s eldest son Josh Duggar was understandable, the Duggar family has nonetheless endeared themselves to many of their fans.

Fans commiserate with the family especially when reports came out after the show was cancelled that the Duggars were already figuratively scraping the bottom of the barrel and were already asking some people for money to sustain themselves.

The wait of the fans for an update to the Duggar family finally came during the wedding of Amy Duggar to Dillon King just recently. Amy Duggar is the niece of Jim Bob and Michelle and she also appeared in a number of episodes of “19 Kids and Counting.”

The nuptials on video

The Duggars posted on their Facebook page on September 9 a video footage of the wedding of Amy and Dillon, details the International Business Times.

The clip started with several flower girls making their way down the aisle ringing bells and saying the bride is coming.

Subsequently, Amy was shown walking down the aisle wearing a strapless gown with the background music of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and was met in the altar by Dillon. Amy’s parents then gave their permission to her to wed.

The following day, the Duggar Studios’ YouTube channel released a second video of the wedding including an aerial footage of the venue and the ceremony.

Before posting the wedding video of Amy and Dillon, the Duggars extended their congratulatory messages to the couple and said that they were so happy for them and for being part of the beautiful ceremony.

Every member of the Duggar family was at the ceremony, with the exception of Josh Duggar, who is currently in an undisclosed rehab facility.

The 27-year-old Josh admitted having molested five underage girls more than 10 years ago, some of whom were his sisters. Amy said in a recent interview that she was not one of those girls whom Josh molested.

Last month, Josh Duggar also admitted that he has been unfaithful to his wife, Anna Duggar, of six years after he was found to have several paid accounts on the cheating site, Ashley Madison. He is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation in the undisclosed treatment facility.

Ghosts from the past

In addition to Josh Duggar, it seems that the ghosts of the past continue to haunt another member of the production staff of “19 Kids and Counting” particularly on the crucial issue of pedophilia.

The cancellation of the show was attributed to the inexcusable acts of Josh Duggar, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle while he was still a teenager.

Josh publicly came out with an apology as a result of published reports that he molested five girls including some of his sisters, by fondling them, when he was about 14 to 15 years old, which placed the events to have transpired from 2002 to 2003 or about five to six years before the show started on TLC.

As a reality show that focuses on the life of the Duggar family and touches on the values of purity, modesty, and faith in God, the controversy on Josh Duggar was too damning for the show that TLC was prompted to suspend the airing of the show on May 22 before finally deciding to cancel it on July 16 or barely two months later.

19 Kids Counting

Less than three weeks after the official cancellation of the show, reports started coming out that William Blankinship, the editor of “19 Kids and Counting” has also faced numerous child molestation and pornography charges in the past.

Blankinship was reportedly arrested in 2011 for 10 felony counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a child through child pornography, reported In Touch Weekly.
