Josh Duggar has become the subject of controversy for the most parts of this year. After admitting that he has molested five girls including some of his sisters while he was still a teenager, he has publicly came out with an apology.
He confirmed that he fondled the girls when he was about 14 or 15 years old and his scandal actually resulted to the TLC network cancelling their six-and-a-half-year-old family reality TV series “19 Kids and Counting” in July.
Subsequently, Josh admitted that he has also cheated on his wife Anna Duggar while she was pregnant with their fourth child. He admitted to cheating on Anna with an adult film star and also for having multiple social media accounts on a dating site. Shortly thereafter, Josh was admitted in a rehab facility.
Josh and Anna have four children and it would really be tough for Anna to stay the course of their marriage because of the problems that have piled up especially involving her husband.
In fact, there were reports that Anna was already contemplating of divorcing Josh and start a new chapter in her life with her four kids.
Saving the family
As the doting father and grandfather that he is, Jim Bob recently gifted Josh and Anna Duggar a new brick home worth $345,000 not for anything but to save the couple’s marriage.
After the admission of Josh that he cheated on his wife, it is likely that Anna has thought about divorcing her husband. Jim Bob decided to intervene by buying the couple and their four kids a new home which is near the Duggar’s place. But since Josh is in a rehab facility, he is not even there to enjoy the place.
Apart from the idea of greasing Anna so that she will discard the notion of parting ways with her unfaithful husband for good, Jim Bob also wanted to have the family really close so that they can be available to Anna anytime she needs help with the kids.
Josh and Anna used to stay in a very small area at the Duggar home and given their growing family, they really need more space.
According to reports, because of space limitations, Anna and her kids have been spotted for a number of times going back and forth between their small area at the Duggar home and her parent’s house in Florida since Josh went into rehab.
A source revealed that some of the other Duggar kids were not happy with the decision of their patriarch to gift Anna and Josh a new home.
They actually had high hopes that they would get the home one day and not Josh and Anna. That goes without saying that some of them actually believe that Josh does not deserve it since he was the reason why the family is in a financial quagmire at this time.
No plans of divorcing Josh
Anna Duggar has recently came out in the second episode of the spinoff special of “19 Kids and Counting” titled “Jill and Jessa: Counting On” and revealed that Josh gave a very detailed and very honest narration of the incident when he first met her parents in Arkansas during the courtship.
So she knew the child molestation scandal long before it came out in the media, which she described as something that have only ripped an open wound.
But the cheating admission of Josh that he had a violent sex with a porn star and that he have two paid accounts with the Ashley Madison dating site, was new to her and that completely turned her world upside down, details Design & Trend.
Anna says that loyalty was broken and she was questioning why it happened to her marriage notwithstanding that Josh is her first love and her one and only.
She admitted that there were a lot of pressure from her family to divorce Josh especially when it came out in public. She thought about it long and hard and eventually she arrived at a decision to stick with her husband because she believes that marriage is for better or for worse till death do them part.
She says that she has been praying hard to God that someday her’s and Josh’s marriage will be restored the way it used to before the molestation scandal and the cheating incident.
Meanwhile, Duggar matriarch Michelle lauded the strength of Ben Seewald, her son-in-law, who is married to her daughter Jessa.
