We don’t know if you were lucky enough to visit the Consumer Electronics Show 2015, but if you were, you should have seen the crowd that lined up to get a demo of the Oculus Crescent Bay Prototype at the Oculus VR Stall.
If you asked any of the people who were fortunate enough to get a live demonstration this question – “What is more fascinating than the Oculus Crescent Bay Prototype?” You would get the same answer from all – “Nothing can ever be so beautiful.”
Whilst being true to the name it has earned in a very short time, the Oculus Crescent Bay Prototype is just a beta in progress and CEO of Oculus VR says that it is not far from the final launch. If you are still reading futher into this article and have no clue what we are talking about, consider talking a look at the image that we have obtained of the device. As you can see, it is a one of a kind virtual-reality device that takes you into a journey of dreams and imaginations that could only half be true a few years ago.
In spite of many companies trying to make their name in the field of virtual reality headsets, Oculus VR is by far the most accurate and most substantial headset that has been developed till today. Though there was no mention of the actual release date of the final Oculus Rift, we have been made aware of the fact that the final version is not very far away – by the CEO himself.
An attendee, who got his hands or specifically his ‘head’ in the Oculus Crescent Bay Prototype, described the imagery as simply breathtaking. There was a version in which there were scenes that involved a roaring T-Rex and there was another scene in which you were standing at the edge of a cliff, which overlooked a beautiful city below.
The scene was so realistic that merely looking down the cliff, gave shivers to the people wearing the Oculus VR. If you could see the expressions of the people who were made face to face with the virtual reality headset, you could see that all had their mouths gaping open in awe and exhilaration. As if, this was something they were not prepared to witness. Wow! Isn’t it?
Whilst talking with the production team, sources gathered that the Oculus team has been giving all the credit to Social Media giant Facebook, which bought Oculus for a staggering 2 Billion. Only within nine months of the Acquisition, the team at Oculus VR doubled fivefold from 50 employees to a staggering 250 employees, which gave the company an enhanced surge to work towards perfection.
What do you think will be the price of the Oculus Rift when it hits the stores later this year? Sound off your speculations in the comments section below.
Im guessing 300-500
