It looks like Tom Cruise is going on another mission but it has something to do with real estate. Maybe the “Mission: Impossible 5” actor is consolidating his wealth or maybe he’s planning on making a major investment somewhere and sometime soon but Cruise seems to be undergoing a major real estate overhaul.
He has been disposing his properties since 2013 and now the latest to be put on sale block is his property along the famous Mulholland Drive in Beverly Hills, which the Hollywood superstar is selling for just under $13 million. He’s actually selling it for $12.995 million.
In 2013, Tom Cruise has put on sale block his New York townhouse for $28 million and also his East Village condo unit for $3 million. In November last year, he listed his Colorado estate for $59 million, in what appears to be a major real estate overhaul three years in the running, notes MSN Entertainment.
The actor is said to be living at the moment in another Beverly Hills mansion which he bought in 2007 for $30.5 million. The actor or his representative did not cite any reason for the decision of Tom Cruise to sell a fourth property in a span of nearly three years.
A retreat house
There have been rumors in the past that the latest property being put on the sale block by Tom Cruise has been previously turned into a Scientology retreat house.
Tom Cruise is a member of the Church of Scientology, which is an organization devoted to the practice and promotion of scientology, a new religious movement, anchored on a body of beliefs and related practices.
The actor was said to have bought the house in 2005, through two corporate entities, to serve as a place of retreat for high-level Scientologists. Before putting the property on the sale block, the sister of Tom Cruise is said to be the one living on the mansion.
A premiere property
The Beverly Hills mansion being put on the sale block by Tom Cruise sits on 2.5 acres of land. It is a European-style villa that has two parcels.
The mansion is gated and features a main residence and a fully detached guest house. It offers a 280-degree view of Los Angeles, which means that it is on an elevated location.
The main residence has three bedrooms and three bathrooms with en suite bathrooms. The guest house on the other hand, offers an additional four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Outside of the main residence and the guest house, there are plenty of entertainment areas in the surroundings including the lagoon-style heated pool. And as expected, the property is being sold inclusive of the modern and high-end furniture and furnishings. It is now listed on the Multiple Listing Service.
