Tesla Model 3 might not Be an Easy Goal to Reach, But It’s Important for the Industry, More Details!

Tesla’s progress is undeniable, and the company started out with some major goals which they have been realizing slowly but steadily. Elon Musk could have given everything a significant boost if he chose to invest more of his previously earned capital into the company, but he’s a smart businessman and always thinks several steps ahead, unlike many other people who take up various business projects and end up failing due to poor planning.

The company is currently gearing up for the release of their second major model, the Tesla Model X – and currently, everything is going according to plan. This is the second step in their plan to make electric vehicles widespread and available to everyone, and the next step is probably going to be the most important and critical one – the release of the “Model 3” as it’s currently dubbed, which is going to be a more budget-friendly version of their electric platform, meant for the mass market.

That was the basic idea all along – proper scaling of the business and controlled, steady growth. And so far, it’s been working out quite well for Elon Musk, as his company has been enjoying a lot of positivity from all sides, both from critics as well as drivers themselves. There is still some time to go before they start talking about the Model 3, but there’s no doubt that they already have some serious plans about the new car behind the scenes.

However, according to some critics, the release of the Model 3 will actually be slightly more complicated than those before it. The Roadster, Model S and Model X all had their unique challenges that the company had to overcome, but in the end their releases proceeded more or less smoothly. However, the Model 3 will be a different story.

That car will need much better means for mass production, as well as a revision of the company’s marketing, according to experts. It’s not that Tesla are suffering from a lack of exposure on the market, but they will need to utilize every bit of publicity they can get their hands on if they really want to make this release count and get the car out to as many families as possible, as is their plan.

On the other hand, the current manufacturing facilities of the company might prove slightly insufficient for what they’re planning. They have already done some rearranging in this area for the launch of the Model X, but this kind of release will require a lot more than that, according to most commenters on the situation.

Of course, it’s probably safe to assume that Elon Musk knows what he’s doing and he’s already planning that very carefully. We would be surprised if he doesn’t have a solid idea in his head about how the company’s facilities have to be reorganized in order to accommodate for the large-scale manufacturing that they are planning in the future, but it makes no sense for him to discuss that now.

Another factor that will affect the success of the Model 3 is the price of batteries. This is something that has been decreasing steadily lately, but it still has a long way to go before it reaches a point where it’s friendly enough for mass manufacturing. It won’t be very easy to release a car with a budget price when just the battery alone costs well over $10,000, usually in the $15,000 range.
