A lot is about to happen in “Orphan Black”, according to reports, and the show is going to drastically shift some relationships around, bringing some characters closer together while separating others. Fans have been particularly worried about Felix and Sarah, as it’s been implied that the two of them could end up drifting apart quite soon.
The two have already been put through some tests and they were actually getting along more or less well recently, but now Felix will apparently have a reason to distrust Sarah, and there is an implication that this could have a more permanent impact on the relationship between them.
But of course, it’s normal for people that are so close together to occasionally disagree on some points, so it’s possible that their differences will be handled in a less dramatic way. Still, the fact that Sarah will apparently start seeking affection somewhere else will most probably not be handled very reasonably by Felix. He already had some issues with her related to trust in the past, and this could easily prove to be the final nail in the coffin between them.
Not all upcoming developments on the show will be that negative though – some characters will apparently be brought closer, such as Alison and Helena who will move in together. However, this will be at the expense of the relationship between Alison and her own husband, which is going to suffer a bit in the near future. The fact that Alison is now moving in with someone else will obviously cause additional tension, and some fans are even predicting that this will kill the marriage completely.
This show tends to put its characters through some very difficult moments and yet the writers usually find a way to resolve everything when they want to, so it’s hard to make a prediction for the outcome of those scandals in the future episodes. It’s entirely possible that all characters will come out with their relationships unharmed, but the more plausible scenario is that there will be at least some permanent fallout in one or two couples.
At the same time, the producers are going to introduce more Leda/Castor clones in the series, which will obviously complicate things additionally. It looks like they’re trying to cram as much drama as they can into the upcoming episodes, so fans should prepare for some emotional developments. Plus, this is a show that likes to throw surprises at the least expected moments, so that’s also something that fans should probably account for and expect it accordingly.
For now, the production is on a brief pause for a couple of weeks, giving fans just enough time to build up their anticipation and engage in some discussions about what’s going to happen. “Orphan Black” enjoys a very active community on the Internet and it’s always possible to join some discussions about the show’s current state. There are often plenty of insightful posts among those threads which can show certain scenes in a completely new light.
It’s clear that Sarah will not stop trying to find Beth at this point, so Felix will have to find a way to deal with this. He doesn’t necessarily have to like what’s going on, but according to most fans he should just cut Sarah out of his life if he can’t see himself continuing to be around her in those circumstances. Of course, we don’t expect something that bad to happen between them.
