BioWare’s upcoming game “Mass Effect: Andromeda” has been making a constant buzz as gamers are eagerly waiting for its arrival.
Latest reports confirm that the game will be part of this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016l which will be happening on June 14 – 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Not only that, the game is creating so much hype because BioWare is reportedly preparing a grand showcase for the game in the three-day convention.
Along with the much-awaited “Mass Effect: Andromeda,” a slew of titles are expected to be previewed at the three-day event such as “Gear of War 4,” “Halo,” and “Sea of Thieves.”
BioWare is confident that their upcoming action role-playing game will blow people away and will let players look forward to the game’s release. Rumors indicate that BioWare will be pulling out a massive showcase for the upcoming game at E3 2016.
Developers continue to talk about the game without giving too much away. There have not been enough details about it since it was announced, but BioWare assures gamers that it will be worth the wait.
Gaming Bolt reports that the studio’s approach to the E3 showcase of “Mass Effect: Andromeda” will be reminiscent of “Fallout 4” at the E3 2015 last year.
Last year’s reveal of the game was low-key and short on substance. The revelation took a two-minute announcement trailer, some concept art thrown in, and narrative details about the gameplay.
Last year’s “Fallout 4” showcase left very little to the imagination, with Todd Howard walking the audience through a half-hour presentation that featured entire chunks of early area gameplay.
Some gamers commented that it’s about time that BioWare apply the same treatment to “Mass Effect: Andromeda” given how the gameplay is.
The video game will allow players to take on a role of either a male or female human character. They will be able to pilot the new and customizable Mako, a six-wheeled buggy-type vehicle driven in the first “Mass Effect” game.
The game takes place long after the events of the trilogy, in the Andromeda Galaxy and won’t feature Commander Shepard anymore. Instead, it is expected to feature new characters and a new gameplay.
The game will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. Although it shares the universe for the first trilogy, the title is not considered the fourth episode of the saga.
Fans hope that details about the new protagonist, new characters, and new enemies will be unveiled at E3. They also reach out to BioWare that the locations of the game be revealed.
According to Christian Today, the game will lead the way by showing fans that it can grow its own storyline after veering away from the game’s initial trilogy.
The “Mass Effect” game series was released in 2007, 2009, and 2012. The trilogy was developed by BioWare and was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows. The third installment was also released on the Nintendo Wii U.
Short sequels of the series were also released such as “Mass Effect Galaxy” which was released exclusively for iOS in 2009. “Mass Effect Infiltrator” was also released in 2012 for iOS, it was ported to Android a few months after and was made available for the Blackberry 10 by 2013. Both short game sequels are also available in the Sony streaming service.
The upcoming game also boasts of the jet pack feature which players can use. The scenery and gameplay while on the jet pack are what fans should look out for, teases the game developer.
Developers have been adamant that they will stick by their initial statement that the game will be released early next year. Game developer Michael Gamble explains that they are slowly but steadily completing the game.
