Luke Hemmings and 5SOS Get Award for 3 Recent Sell-Out Shows in London

Luke Hemmings and his Australian rock band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) each received an award from officials of the Wembley Arena in London on June 14 for their recent three sell-out shows in the venue.

Wembley Arena’s John Drury, General Manager, and Sharon Smith, Head of Operations, handed the individual awards to the members of the 5SOS including Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, and Michael Clifford at the backstage of Wembley Arena, reports UnrealityTV

In a recent post on Twitter, Ashton Irwin expressed his and the 5SOS gratitude for the millions of fans who supported them in their recent UK-Europe tour which had only them and an airconditioner. He reiterated his appreciation for the fans that rocked with them during those times.

For his part, Calum Hood tweeted that their recent performance was a hat trick of Wembley Arena and he also thanked everyone who made the event successful and their awards possible.

5SOS is now back in their home country in Australia where they will continue with their concert tour beginning on June 18.

Michael Clifford injury

Meanwhile, organizers of the Australian concert tour of 5SOS are not cancelling nor postponing any shows of the pop rock band because of the recent injury to Michael Clifford.

Michael Clifford was injured on his face on June 13 when he got too close to a pyrotechnique display during the final show of 5SOS in London.

But the 5SOS band member does not seem worried about his facial injury as one day after suffering an accident, he was seen clubbing at the Maliki nightclub to celebrate the very successful and final show in London’s Wembley Arena.

Michael injuries may not be as serious but it left a red mark close to his eye and when he was spotted at the Maliki club, he covered his face as he made his way to a waiting taxi.

Late last week, members of the 5SOS were both shocked and delighted for getting nominated for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards in not just one but three categories.
