Showrunner Rob Thomas of the American police procedural comedy-fiction drama TV series “iZombie” on The CW recently stated that the upcoming third season of the popular show shall see Liv Moore, played by Rose McIver, having a more fortunate love life this time around.
It can be recalled that Liv has never had the opportunity to have a romantic partner who did not die and turn into a zombie during both the first and second seasons of “iZombie,” notes the Christian Today.
Latest reports have it that Liv’s upcoming lover in the third season of “iZombie” will not die within its entirety which would give the show’s main protagonist her happily ever after finally.
However, some critics are saying that if the show is planning to give Liv her happily ever after in Season 3, it could also mean that the upcoming season might be its last. But all these are mere speculations at this time, pending the confirmation from either The CW or showrunner Rob Thomas.
A pretty breezy villain
Eddie Jemison, who plays Mr. Stacey Boss in “iZombie,” says that he loves his character on the show and considers him a pretty breezy villain.
He said that what he loves about old Mr. Boss is that there are awful things that have been done in his name.
Jemison explained that Mr. Boss got a small storefront tax office and he still does people’s personal taxes as if it still matters to him.
So while he is getting people dismembered, he is also doing his neighbor’s taxes. Jemison thinks that Mr. Boss is a great character because the show itself is a great mix of comedy and drama, details the International Business Times.
The actor also loves that the villainous character in “iZombie” has a cool first name in Stacey. It can be recalled that Mr. Boss was introduced in the sixth episode of Season 2 titled “Max Wagner.”
Although Mr. Boss was introduced as an unassuming barber’s customer in the episode, it was later revealed that he is actually Seattle’s leading crime lord. Among the illegal activities that he oversees in the city include bookmaking, prostitution, smuggling, trafficking, and murder-for-hire.
Jemison got the role of Mr. Boss after he made a cameo appearance in the 2014 “Veronica Mars” movie which Thomas directed. The actor mentioned that he did a movie with Rob Thomas years ago and he is happy that the showrunner remembered him.
She wants Bill Murray as Liv’s father
If she is given the free hand to make some new casting on the upcoming third season of “iZombie” on The CW, Rose McIver would like to have her real-life friends Jennifer Morrison and Melanie Lynskey become part of the series even as guests.
More importantly, if she is to choose an actor who shall be playing his dad in the TV series, she wants no other than veteran comedy actor Bill Murray for it.
McIver made the disclosure during the San Diego ComicCon in July in light of reports that Season 3 of “iZombie” shall finally shed light on Liv Moore’s family background. It could be recalled that Liv’s mother and brother were featured in Season 1 of “iZombie,” viewers were never able to see her dad in the show.
The pretty actress has been making a case to have the original “Ghostbusters” actor play her father in “iZombie” by saying that she really wants Bill Murray. She even joked that the producers should get him and clear his schedules just to make sure that Bill Murray accepts the offer.
Showrunner Rob Thomas confirmed recently the Liv Moore’s family was deliberately omitted from the storylines because the show has gotten bigger with its series regulars and there was not enough leeway to put the family’s story on the show.
