‘GTA 5 Online’ Gamers Excited with the Coming of ‘Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2’ DLC on July 8

Nearly one month after Rockstar Games officially released the first part of the “Ill-Gotten Gains” DLC for “Grand Theft Auto 5” and the “Grand Theft Auto Online” on June 10, gamers are now getting excited with the impending release of the second part of the same expansion pack.

Accordingly, the “Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2” DLC will be arriving on July 8, or about a month after its first part has been released.

“Ill-Gotten Gains Part 1 and Part 2” are content updates scheduled for release this summer and its single plot is premised on the strong demand for luxury goods and services as a result of high-end crime across southern San Andreas. The situation also forces upscale merchants of all kinds to scramble to fill their inventories and serve the new wealthy.

Thus, the focus of the heists on the new two-part DLC is the hauling of luxury goods that are on its way to Los Santos’ luxury shops and dealerships, details Rockstar Newswire.

Rockstar explained that the new collection of extravagant attire and high-valued transportation equipment shall also come with the debut of “The Lab” radio station that was only previously available to the PC version of “GTA Online.”

The developer also announced that in order to drumbeat the coming of the second part of the “Ill-Gotten Gains” DLC, it will be kicking off the Ill-Gotten Gains Social Club Event Weekend beginning on July 10.

Independence Day DLC

But Rockstar Games apparently is trying to outperform itself in the eyes of the fans and gamers of “GTA 5” and “GTA Online” because just before the launch of the “Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2” DLC, the game developer has also released the “Independence Day Special” DLC on July 1.

The “Independence Day Special” DLC is meant to mark the celebration of the American Independence Day on July 4, which Rockstar also did last year, thus coming as sort of bonus DLC, although it still came with a price.

The “Independence Day Special” featured the return of old favorite Independence Day gaming items at reduced prices.

Other special items that were already featured last year, which will only be available to gamers from July 1 to 6 at 25% discount, include the monster truck The Liberator, the motorcycle Sovereign, the Firework Rocket Launcher and its ammo, red-white-and-blue hats, T-shirts, masks and other items, double RP event, and double GTA money event.

The International Business Times of India also enumerated some of the features that shall come with the “Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2” DLC including the off-road buggy Coil Brawler, the classic Lampadati Toro speedboat, high-end clothes and accessories, classic sports car Invetero Coquette BlackFin, a Marksman Pistol, a two-door hypercar Progen T20, knuckledusters, a two-door muscle car Vapid Chino, and the motorcycle Dinka Vindicator.

Addressing cheats

Sometime in May, Rockstar Games started doing something that was considered new in the gaming community. It began curtailing cheats and also banned cheaters from “GTA Online,” the multiplayer version of the open-world action adventure video game “Grand Theft Auto V” on the next-gen gaming consoles and the PC.

As one of the most popular, if not the most popular video game today, “GTA V” counts some of the most avid gamers and fans who really like to spend so much time and money on the game just to accomplish the missions and objectives well ahead of the rest.

However, the game also counts many gamers who like to take advantage of glitches to be able to gain an unlimited amount of game cash and duplicate items that they can use for “GTA Online.”

  1. Well maybe if R* didn’t make everything in the game so damn expensive, or at least give better prize money for jobs, then maybe people wouldn’t need to exploit the glitches. Without “cheating” I wouldn’t never have had the experience I’ve had since the game released on last gen. The micro-transactions are pretty much forced on you and they are ridiculously priced, for example, I would have to pay $109.99 to get 8 million in game cash, I would still need another 2 million dollars to buy the highest valued plane. This game would be 100x better if R* stopped being such money hungry sluts.

    1. You clearly feel entirely too entitled for your own good. You call them “money hungry sluts” – yet this is a company that refused to release an unpolished turd of a PS4 / Xbox One / PC port, and instead gave us one of the greatest and most well-optimized (across ALL platforms) video games of the past decade. Not to mention the fact that they give us FREE content for said game, which can be purchased with in-game currency, as opposed to real money. So in reality, the issue you have is with yourself and your own lack of motivation to put in the work to get what you want, and you justify “cheating” on account of it. That’s pretty damn pathetic.

The “microtransactions” aren’t forced on you, or anyone else. If one chooses to buy the Shark Cards, then so be it, but they are NOT necessary. Everything in this game is available to anyone, at any given time, as long as you put in the grind, and the “grind” isn’t even that bad compared most of what’s out there. Even your average gamer can be rich in this game, for it doesn’t require endless amounts of hours to get there.

Getting money is easy as can be, doing missions on your own. If you play with others, it’s even easier. Heists unlock at level 12, and have a huge return on the initial investment, and they can be replayed any time you like. Then there are the daily objectives, which are easy and quick enough to do and get you 25K a day, 100K a week and 500K a month if completed every day. One can also sell cars to the mechanic, for up to 9.5K every hour, and participate in a plethora of other things to make a buck.

There is absolutely no reason for anyone to be out of cash, or even consistently low on cash unless you’re a moron and go around blowing up other peoples’ cars all day. Going by what you wrote, you’re probably one of those. And buddy, If you really want this “gold” $10M plane…completing the Criminal Mastermind challenge gives you all of that, and then some. But hey, it takes time and effort….but clearly, you’d rather get it for free.

    2. Do all heists in the right order, with the same people, on hard difficulty without dying. = 12 million in game. And it’s not even difficult to do.

  2. Lmao at the top comment, all I did was play heists this last weekend and made like 12.2 million

  3. I agree. Charging extra money for shark cards Is insanity. The money on heiats and missions should be tripled to enjoy the prices of the items in game.

  4. I don’t know what you’re on about. I’ve been playing online for a little over a year now, and have spent no money beyond the original purchase of the game. I have everything I need, plenty of cars, an attack chopper, etc.

Why would you need the “highest valued plane” anyway? It only exists to soak up cash made by people who play obsessively, and is nothing beyond a status symbol, and a rather odd one at that.

Rockstar needs to come up with cash sinks for people who run Heists for hours every day. That’s obviously not you and me, and does nothing to take away from our experience.

  5. For those who lime it, good. Those who dont, even better. We need cheaters and glitches. The money they let you earn takes too long. Stop over reacting over nothin. It’s a game leople. People cheat in every game ever played. Grow out of the crying phase and love your damn life

  6. Why do they need to come up with cash sinks? I play heists and buy cards too nonstop I could buy like 14 of those planes but I’m not going to put my cash into that ugly plane because my cash needs to be spent. All I do is hold onto the money. I’m not going to spend it on anything that has low customization, is a Pegasus summons (in most cases) and definitely not because I can or should. Sure I can, but no I shouldn’t spend the money on crap items because my money needs to be spent.

  7. I understand where people are coming from regarding making money by just playing the game. It’s a very valid point and truthfully, it’s the way GTA is meant to be played. BUT, if your like me and only get an hour here or there, a few times a month at BEST to play, it kind of ruins the online portion of the game. The fact that items are priced so high, I can’t ever afford anything, lol… I just don’t have the time to play like I used to anymore and the few times I do get a chance to play online, the only way I can afford any in-game items is to spend real money on shark cards (being in finance that goes against my logic)…I guess basically, I’m just getting too f_cking old to game anymore… It sucks, but thats reality…

    1. That’s what the micro-transactions are for. If you don’t have the time to grind up money, you can spend IRL money. Assuming that you don’t have enough time because you’re working.

If you still cant afford it, maybe you shouldn’t play games at all.

  8. This game is way too easy to make money. And if you do not have more than an hour to spend on it, then yeah gou will struggle. This is game meant for people wHo have time to put into it, it is not a pass over game. I am sitting on 3.4 mil and it will only keep going up. I just got it for my ps4 yesterday and now that there will be heists, i am gonna be rich since i dont have expensive taste.

I bought all the cheapest clothes, the ones only in the hundreds, i stole cars i liked on the street and made them mine instead of buying those stupid super cars, so i basically got every car i own for free. I made sure i maxed out ammo for every weapon a long time ago and i conserve ammo during missions as much as possible, so i use my AP pistol a lot. I am currently working on buying the rest of the guns i dont have. And i set goals to get them. I dont spend a single dollar until my money reaches a point, then i buy one item i want, so on and so forth. Maybe you guys should try my method of playing. Very low maintanence and i always have money to get what i want.
