With films today, it is something that directors, writers and producers can make a product that can live on in multiple sequels. Most sequels are not as good as the original, but with super hero movies that is not the case as there is plenty of content for new movies that come right out of the comic books that were written many years ago. According to reports, the release of Captain America 3 is coming up very quickly and the new movie could see a hero as a villain.
That hero is Iron Man. In the third installment to the Captain America series, Iron Man is reportedly going to be a villain against Captain America. That is according to sources that are reporting on both Captain America 3 and Avengers: Age of Ultron. There is plenty of speculation as to what role Tony Stark is going to be playing in the new movie, but nothing has been confirmed by anyone.
In the comic book version of Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man turns on his friends and starts to side with government in regards to registration and control. With that being said and known by those that read the comic books years ago, there is no reason to believe that the movie would not go down the same path. According to Robert Downey, Jr, he would not “put it that way”. He claims that the changes are going to come in the role of Captain America in the new movie.
Captain America will stand up for freedoms and for the little guy until the day he dies and that is what readers of the story would expect to see in the film as well. Captain America is from the 1940’s and hopes that he can make it in a world were some of the ideals are not quite what he remembers from that time period. Most of the Iron Man fans were reportedly expecting not to see the super hero in many roles after Disney reportedly had a problem with Robert Downey Jr’s salary.
That problem has reportedly been taken care of now and Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America 3 are ready for development. The Civil War story line is one from a crossover issue dated in 2006 making Captain America another Avengers film, so to speak. The second movie in the Captain America series was very good and won the hearts of fans and critics alike for that matter. Captain America 3 is expected to be just as good and should be in theaters by May of next year.
