Brenton Thwaites has just dropped a major hint about the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean 5”, as according to him, he’ll have one of the starring roles in the new production. This was just announced by the 25-year old actor himself, but that was all he could say about his involvement with the film for the moment. According to him, he doesn’t know many plot details right now, and probably won’t be let in on them for quite some time until the actual shooting begins, but he could confirm that Johnny Depp will be returning as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Still, the latter bit was something pretty much everyone was expecting, as it wouldn’t be a true “Pirates of the Caribbean” without Captain Sparrow in his full glory – the kind of glory that can only truly be delivered by a Johnny Depp performance. Thwaites also said that pre-production of the film is scheduled to begin in about a month, and he’ll be flying to Australia to get started on his work.
From what’s known about the film’s plot so far, it will involve a young man seeking to get back in touch with his father, Davy Jones – but a curse is blocking his progress in his goal, forcing him to go around looking for a solution and a way to save his dad. That’s about as much as has been publicly revealed about the film, but more information is expected to come out shortly after pre-production has started.
Thwaites added that he’s really looking forward to working alongside Johnny Depp, and he’s very excited about the opportunity. There have apparently been talks about this previously, and he is quite open to the arrangement, as well as expecting to learn something from his work on this production. He went on to add that Johnny Depp’s involvement was actually the main reason Thwaites himself was so eager to join, as he has always felt motivated by the idea of working alongside Depp.
A great movie production relies on not only solid acting and responsible work by the rest of the crew, but also a deep passion and dedication, something which Thwaites already seems to have thanks to the opportunity to work with Johnny Depp. So, with these things in mind, viewers should have great expectations for the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean 5”, as the film looks like it will be made with lots of love and dedication, not to mention the fact that it will be starring some major names in the industry. All that’s left at this point is a solid script to truly help everything come together, but judging from the previous installments in the franchise, there’s no reason to believe this one will be disappointing in this regard.
