Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Kids May Spend Thanksgiving Together as Children Beg their Father and Mother to be Nice to Each Other

Despite their ongoing high-profile and contentious divorce, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may end up celebrating Thanksgiving together with their children.

According to the latest report, Angelina Jolie has asked her estranged husband for a truce because the kids had begged their father and mother to be nice to each other for the holidays.

More than the truce, their kids also want them to be together for the holidays beginning with Thanksgiving celebration on November 24.

The same reports are also saying that Angelina and Brad may put their differences aside to spend Thanksgiving together for the sake of their children who have been missing to see their family whole again.

It was Angelina Jolie who reportedly called the “Fight Club” actor and asked him for a temporary cessation of hostilities as she wants to give in to the wishes of her children, foremost of whom is 10-year-old Shiloh who told her mother that their parents should be nice to each other, reports the Daily Mail of UK.

In addition to Shiloh, their other children in Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, all want a reunion between their parents.

But their eldest child Maddox, 15, is reportedly not so into the idea following the argument he had with his dad aboard their private jet in September which apparently triggered Angelina’s divorce filing.

Reports are also saying that Brad already called his son with a tearful apology and said that he should have been a better listener.

A softer stance

Unlike before when Angelina Jolie was very adamant and firm with her decision not to communicate with her husband or have their children see him, she seems to have softened her stance as of late.

In fact, she even bypassed their attorney middlemen when she directly phoned Brad Pitt.

According to a source close to Jolie, Brad Pitt thanked his former wife for the invitation for Thanksgiving dinner. The actress was also overheard telling Pitt over the phone that she thinks the occasion will be good for them to be together.

The same source said that it would only be a two-day truce and that the divorce proceedings will not be affected at all as it would continue according to its schedule.

Angelina Jolie is still pushing for sole physical custody of their children while Brad Pitt wants to fight her legally for joint custody.

There were also reports saying that Brad Pitt was hesitant at first to give in to Angelina but when he learned that it was their children who have made the plea, he agreed to let his guard down and has approved the Thanksgiving dinner together.

Cleared of any wrongdoing

Meanwhile, the FBI has cleared Brad Pitt of any wrongdoing on allegations that he has mistreated his son Maddox during a midair altercation with Angelina Jolie sometime in September, reports News.com.au.

Angelina has claimed that Brad struck their son.

In a statement issued by the FBI, it said that the bureau has conducted a review of the circumstances and shall no longer pursue further investigation. It also meant that no charges related to the matter will be filed against Brad Pitt.

The announcement marks Pitt’s second vindication over the incident, two weeks after Los Angeles social workers cleared the 52-year-old actor of wrongdoing following interviews with the couple, their children, and witnesses.

Jolie filed for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences. She is seeking sole custody of their six children.

Pit has been in contact with all six of the couple’s children and is seeking joint legal and physical custody.

The reunions were supervised by a therapist as part of the couple’s temporary custody agreement, mediated by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
