Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seem to be getting along quite well professionally, as the two have been seen working together more and more often. It’s not that common to see celebrities that are involved romantically also having such a strong bond in their work, but it’s certainly great when it does work out, and the two have been very successful in the various aspects of their relationship by this point. Now, it’s been reported that they are going to be doing more work by each other’s side in “Africa”, Angelina Jolie’s latest work as a director.
According to reports, Brad Pitt is currently negotiating a role in the production, where he will play a Kenyan archaeologist fighting for the conservation of important artifacts. It’s not known if the rumors are true so far, as journalists have tried, unsuccessfully, to get in touch with Pitt for a comment on the situation. The actor seems reluctant to reveal any information about his involvement so far, but given his professional past, this is not that surprising. The actor has a very good work ethic when it comes to protecting the trade secrets of productions he’s involved in, so it’s likely that we won’t hear much about “Africa” from him.
Still, we do know that Angelina Jolie has high expectations for the production about Richard Leakey, and she has been putting a lot of effort into her work on it. It’s not known how far along the filming actually is at this point, but if the rumors about Brad Pitt’s casting are true, then it’s likely that the film hasn’t even entered that stage of its production yet.
Angelina Jolie has been known to be very fond of Africa, having worked a lot on various projects related to the continent throughout her life, not just related to her career in the film industry. She is apparently very excited to tell the story of Richard Leakey, and has various interesting ideas for the film, and the most prominent rumors about the film’s production is that it’s expected to start with full speed in the summer of this year.
Whether or not Brad Pitt does end up playing in “Africa”, it’s known that he already has a role in another film that Angelina Jolie is working on, “By the Sea”, which has already come out of production. It seems that Pitt and Jolie are getting more and more involved professionally, and this also seems to be reflecting positively on them as a couple – which is great because it has the potential to see the birth of something truly amazing if the two keep collaborating like this in the future.
