Apple iOS 9.3 Jailbreak Tool Still Being Awaited by Users; American Tech Giant Appears to Have Come Up with an Unjailbrekable Firmware!

Despite claims from several hackers that they have already cracked the Apple iOS 9.3 since it was officially released last month, no jailbreak tool has been officially released by anybody thus far.

For sure, the people at Cupertino in California are reserving their best smiles since not even the popular jailbreakers over at Pangu and TaiG have not able to come up with something thus far, notes Neurogadget.

Normally, a jailbreak exploit comes out in just a matter of days or even hours upon the release of the latest iOS from Apple. However, in the case of the Apple iOS 9.3, it seems that the hacking community is having some difficulty cracking such.

As a matter of fact, the American tech giant has already released an iOS 9.3.1 and an iOS 9.3.2 a few days ago but an official iOS 9.3 Jailbreak has yet to come out thus far.

Shaming Apple on its claims

Before the launch of the iOS 9 late last year, Apple claimed that its latest mobile operating system will be unjailbreakable.

It was actually a direct challenge by the American tech giant on the hackers to try and tinker with its iOS, and surely, the hacking community did. They actually feasted on the iOS 9 immediately after it was rolled out.

True enough, a few hours after the iOS 9 came out, a jailbreak tool was already made available. But now it seems that it was just a ploy from Apple to see how the hackers react to its latest iOS. Shortly thereafter, a small update in iOS 9.1 was released to fix a few things before iOS 9.2 followed.

Since the release of the iOS 9.2, there has been no official jailbreak tool made on the operating system and most hackers were claiming that it is the case because they do not want Apple to just patch their jailbreak exploits with another release. Shortly thereafter, Apple released the iOS 9.2.1.

However, there is one Italian hacker by the name of Lucas Todesco who claimed to have jailbroken the iOS 9.2.1 and even shared some proofs of it online. However, he did not bother publishing the exploit and just told the hacking community how he did it so that they can also come up with their own exploits.

Making it a tad difficult to jailbreak the iOS

The final beta of Apple iOS 9.3 was seeded by the American tech giant to developers and public beta testers early last month. The firmware patched a jailbreak vulnerability of the beta 4.

Apparently, Apple made it so to make it a tad difficult to jailbreak the iOS 9.3. However, Todesco claimed shortly after that he has already jailbroken the iOS 9.3 beta 5.

The full version of the iOS 9.3 was released late in March. While Lucas Todesco claimed and confirmed via Twitter that his code works on iOS 9.3 beta 5, implying that the OS is indeed jailbreakable, he refused to publish his exploits, making some think of it as suspicious.

What Todesco means is that someone else has to figure out the exploit and release a tool for the public, as if challenging the hackers at TaiG and Pangu to do one better than him.

Many are of the opinion that Todesco may not be releasing the jailbreak exploits for the iOS 9.3 betas but once Apple officially launches the iOS 9.3 full version, he would likely release a public version of his exploit.

iOS 9-3 jailbreak

Just like his previous jailbreak exploits, Todesco, who goes by the name of qwertyoruiop on Twitter, also released a video to prove that he has indeed jailbroken the iOS 9.3 beta 5.

Todesco actually confirmed that he has jailbroken the iOS 9.3 beta 5 when he replied to a query by hacker and security researcher Steffan Essar who goes by the name of i0n1c on Twitter.

For the past four months, there have not been any jailbreak releases which somehow strengthened the claim of Apple that its iOS 9.0 and onwards will be tough to jailbreak.
