Honestly I have watched all the leaks. But I also will watch it again when the episodes premier on tv because I want to support the show. I’m sure many of the other fans do the same.

Unless you’re monitored by a rating service, it doesn’t matter. I cut the cable years ago so even more doesn’t matter if I watch a leak.

The number of geeks who think their TV viewing is magically registered is hilarious.

If AS wants more eyes on their product officially, make better deals with Netflix or Amazon. The Adult Swim stuff is 3 to 5 seasons behind there.

Honestly I don’t WANT to watch leaks. I’d rather delay gratification as long as possible. But once it’s out, it’s out. If I don’t watch leaks immediately I run the strong risk of hearing a spoiler.
HOWEVER sometimes leaks can actually help boost tension. One of the leaks I watched had a few bits cut out, including one very important bit. Not having that means A) you still want to watch it on TV to catch what you missed, and B) it gives you relief when you watch the full episode and it’s not as bad as it looked in the leak (though that was mostly just altered so it wouldn’t be caught by contentID, so that was an unintended bonus I think. other places had the episode unaltered)

And the idea that this was put out “before it was ready” is also a bit of a stretch, because the episode was done from a creative standpoint. The marketing might not have been done, but all the creators (not just the main 2, but everyone involved) did their job and finished the work. It’s only network policies (and I love AS for the record) that slow down this stuff. Some say it’s for the show’s own good and success, but this leak story isn’t hurting them for free publicity.
Regardless, I hope this show amazing fan support and think it’s one the best things AS has done in years.

Honestly, fans who watch early are probably fans who watch multiple times and TV ratings don’t solely support shows anymore. Yeah, it could be a disappointment, but most creators are just happy we love and recognize good work that they do.
