It’s coming soon, now there’s no good reason to avoid 5.02. It’s a great OS version without any downside.

I’ve been using 5.01 since November, then 5.02 since it was released for G2 and have no regrets.

All other models are either in soak test mode or waiting.
No you shouldn’t have to go to 5.0 to go to 5.1. Stick with 4.4.4 it’s more stable. If you really want 5.1 you could try the guides to rooting and flashing your device from xda at your own risk.
