SONY has its customer base and prospective buyers so confused about its Z-series that nobody knows what is going on with SONY.

Is it every 6 months, or once a year. Is it Z3+ or Z4? SONY needs to get it all together with the Z6...it may be their last chance to make a big hit in the smartphone arena.

SONY cannot compromise anything with the Z6. All the best specs and features must be present and work flawlessly with the Z6, otherwise it may be the end for SONY.

The Z6 should have SD820 processor (with absolutely no over-heating issues), 4GB RAM, expandable SD-slot, Gorilla Glass, plus all the great features of the Z5. As for the Play Station feature, it's a totally superfluous feature that should be dropped in favor of other more relevant features, like improved reliability, better customer support & service, better camera, etc.

Seems that all the SONY phones have always been a little short on specs here and there. The Z6 needs to be not just "good enough" but really great to compete with the big dogs, like Apple and Samsung. "Good enough" is no longer good enough. SONY needs to make sure the Z6 is the world's best smartphone with the best and most-wanted high-end features, starting with the world's best and fastest smartphone camera.

SONY needs to advertise the hell out of the new Z6 on TV and print media everywhere; price it to sell (SONY phones are too expensive); release it in the USA on all the main carriers, and sell it totally unlocked on their own website; then (most important) they need to back up their product with world-class in-store local customer service and support (like Apple). So far, SONY sucks at all of the above, and this is why they cannot sell their phones.

And why did SONY close all of their retail mall stores in the USA? Where are we supposed to go to see, touch and ask questions about their products? And why does SONY not sell the latest phones on their USA website? Stupid. The USA is the biggest and most affluent and most important market place in the world. Instead they are focusing their resources on selling their $800+ phones in India and Southeast Asia, where most people cannot even afford to buy a loaf of bread. What is SONY thinking?

Release dates: once a year is best. More frequently is too often, not giving their customers enough time to enjoy their new phone and not giving their own development staff time to make sufficient improvements from one model to the next to be worth it.

And, one more thing....SONY produces way too models of smartphones. This is very costly and confusing for the prospective buyer. Apple is incredibly successful with only 2 models. SONY, keep it simple.

I want to buy a SONY Z6 when it comes out.....if it's everything it should and could be. I have been waiting for the Z-series to "get it right" for a couple of years, but SONY always seems to come in a little short-handed. And if they don't sell it in the USA with a top-notch customer support, I will be forced to buy something else....probably an Apple 7 this coming fall.

I wonder how many other people are getting tired of waiting for SONY to give us the world's best smartphone, and end up buying something else instead?
