I left Verizon last year and its the best thing I ever did. I was so sick of the poor software update process. I got really lucky with T-Mobile, in my area its faster and just as good coverage wise as Verizon. My roll over data, free music streaming and nexus 6(the phone that Verizon just released 2 weeks ago) has been a match made in heaven. If you can just move on to greener pastures.

I am never buying another Motorola product ever again after this. I have owned the atrix HD, the droid ultra, and now the turbo. Every single one has had show stopping bugs. I’m done with Motorola. They can keep their products and lies. I’m going back to Samsung and AT&T. They at least keep their promises.

Software upgrades were the one reason I was leery to go back to Verizon. And now it has bitten me in the backside.

Come on, Verizon.

One suggestion: pull all the VZ crapware that no one uses! Release it on Play. It will make customers happy and upgrades easier!

For this we Turb owners have basically no one but Verizon to blame. They have sat on their hands. They clearly are either afraid of this phone for commercial reason or they just don’t have the desire/capability to do anything with software. The last major update to the turbo’s predecessor the MAXX HD was a complete disaster. Verizon has clearly demonstrated it does not belong in the phone software business. Now they are using the 5.0/5.1 dichotomy as an excuse for their dismal performance. Next they will blame it on 5.1.1. Turn it back/over to someone with a desire/capabilty to fix this mess

Moto and Vrz don’t realize what they are doing to this beast. Its the best smartphone I have owned since the days of All tel. They need to seriously get the IT guys working 24/7 to get this release out. I will not root but Verizon is walking on thin ice with my money. They may think 1loss is no big deal but there are other ways to slam them. Cheaper phones have already upgraded. This is SICK SICK SICK.NEED A NEW CEO WHO CAN RUN MORE THAN A ICECREAM TRUCK !!!!!!!

Motorola isn’t the one dragging their feet with the droid turbo lollipop update. It is Verizon’s pathetic update process due to the fact that the Turbo is an exclusive Verizon phone. The whole droid lineup year in and year out is slow to update because of Verizons ultra anal testing.

It’s very strange, because the Motorola Droid Turbo is basically the 5.2″ version of the Motorola Nexus 6. Same hardware specs, except bigger camera and bigger battery. Same Snapdragon 805, same 1440p resolution, same 3GB RAM, same turbo charging, same wireless Qi charging…

And Motorola Nexus 6 is getting Android Lollipop updates all the time. It’s not like Motorola engineers don’t know about Lollipop…
