You can lower the resolution to whatever you like, then save that as a profile. Then with one click, you can have the lower resolution for work, and then click back to the higher resolution to play.

Not to mention, the keyboard can be simply removed and it’s now a portable tablet, TV, music player, video chat portal ect. That shiny macbook cannot do any of that. It also cannot simply connect to a external monitor because it only has one port. The new macbook just seems like a far less useful device no matter which way you look at it. In fact the macbook doesn’t even compare well with the Surface Pro 3

The fact that they can say cut of 10% of the performance of the previous generation but run it fan less. This benefits more users more of the time then the power users that are maxing the thing out. If you are maxing a surface out… you should be looking at a Desktop or different laptop.

I’m not wanting to watch HD videos on a SP3 (or 4!) I want to WORK.

Remoting into other machines is nigh impossible when you’re resolution makes icons the size of grains of sand.

HD would be fine if other computers (especially MS terminal services) could account for it – but as of now there are many steps required in getting things functioning in a useful way.
