K-Pop mega-couple Lee Min Ho and Bae Suzy celebrated their second anniversary with a party for all their friends in April.
The star of ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’ and his ‘Dream High’ girlfriend have managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight since getting together but clearly didn’t mind putting it in the spotlight last month as they marked two years together.
According to The Christian Post, the couple threw the bash on April 3.
Rumours the two huge celebrities were first dating began in March 2015 and they were even spotted by eagle-eyed fans on dates in London.
Starhaus Entertainment, who represent Lee Min Ho, 29, confirmed the romance in a statement in 2015 following rumours about a relationship.
It stated: “The two have been seeing each other for around a month. They are in a careful stage where they are seeing each other with positive feelings.”
The couple has quickly become one of the most high-profile stars in the K-Pop world and they have been almost constantly surrounded by rumours of an engagement and wedding plans.
In a recent interview, Lee Min Ho discussed possible marriage plans, saying: “If I get married in the future, I want to have a relationship like friends with my other half. It’d be best if we can communicate often.”
It comes just a few weeks before the South Korean singer started his mandatory military service. He was spotted arriving at the Gangham office in Seoul on the morning of May 12, where according to Soompi he will be working as a public service worker.
The report claims he will be starting his service before entering a training camp. Afer the first camp, he will then train for four weeks, before heading to the Military Manpower Administration.
He was allowed to service his military career as a public service worker after two car accidents, one in 2006 and another in 2011 in which he broke his thigh and ankle bones.
There had been claims the pair would tie the knot before the military service started, but clearly, that has not been the case.
Actor and singer Lee Min-ho first gained notoriety in the 2009 movie Boys Over Flowers, in which he won the Best New Actor Awards at the Baeksang Art Awards for his role as Gu Jun-pyo.
Roles as in City Hunter, The Heirs and last year’s legend of the Blue Sea followed. Last year he starred in his first China-produced movie, Bounty Hunters.
As well as his blossoming movie career, Lee is one of the biggest selling artists in South Korea. His debut album My Everything was released in May 2013, while Song For You came out in 2014.
Bae Su-ji, better known as Bae Suzy, is just as successful as her famous boyfriend.
Shortly after, Min joined the group to make it a four piece and the group released a string of successful singles before dropping their debut album A Class in July 2011.
Breaking from the group she’s gone on to have huge solo success with her first single ‘Pretend’ was released in January this year, which raced up the Korean charts.
The multi-talented star has acted in such movies as Dream High, Architecture 101, Gu Family Book and Uncontrollably Fond.
Her most famous role is for the 2016 period-film The Sound of a Flower, in which she played singer Jin Chae-seon. Set in 1867, Jin, who was Korea’s first female Pansori singer, risked her life by dressing as a man to perform in public at a time when women were banned from doing so during the Joseon era.
Suzy is one of the biggest stars in the K-Pop world and was the first female Korean celebrity to gain over one million Twitter followers.
Speaking about her relationship with Lee Min-ho, she previously admitted they had wanted to keep it a secret, but were forced to come clean when fans spotted them in Europe together.
She said, according to miner8.com: “Lee Min ho is warm-hearted and full of empathy, so I had a good feeling toward him. I’m confused because I didn’t think making it public so soon. I just want to be supported.”
Though an official start for their romance has never been confirmed, they have known each other since 2011 when they both appeared in the drama ‘City Hunter in Seoul’.
