Lady Gaga is getting ready for her highly-anticipated Super Bowl Halftime show performance. The Mother Monster recently shared the first behind-the-scene photo of her rehearsal and it seems like horses will be involved in her stint.
The 30-year-old singer shared a photo on her Instagram of herself over the weekend wherein she is astride a horse. Her caption indicates that she is in rehearsals for her much-awaited performance.
Fans speculate that since her latest album, “Joanne” does have a definite country vibe, horses being involved isn’t really a surprise. Especially knowing her eccentric personality, horses will be the nearest thing to normal for Lady Gaga.
The post comes with the football event being exactly a month away. Lady Gaga also shared a photo wherein she sports a casual red tracksuit while talking to her team.
The 51st Super Bowl will happen in February at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas with the “Poker Face” singer headlining the Halftime show.
The NFL and Pepsi initially sought Adele to be this year’s Halftime show performer. By September last year, Lady Gaga was rumored to headline instead, owing to her national anthem performance in the previous Super Bowl.
Later that month, the “Bad Romance” hitmaker confirmed that she will be headlining the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime show through her Instagram account saying the rumors are true, Super Bowl is going GAGA!
A month after her big news, she released her fifth studio album, “Joanne,” which she describes as her most personal album to date. Her first single, “Perfect Illusion” was released a month before her album came out.
The album is a follow-up to her 2014 album “Cheek to Cheek” and includes hits such as “A Million Reasons” and “Ayo.”
Lady Gaga also opens up that her role as The Countess in the fifth season of “American Horror Story: Hotel” had a major influence in the inception of her latest album. She won a Golden Globe award for her portrayal in the mini-series.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the “Just Dance” songstress explained her desire to put the show for football fans and the ones that are watching at home.
She adds that she’s definitely going to play a mix of her old and new songs despite not being sure yet of her set list.
Last month, she launched the “Guest of Honor” contest along with Pepsi and the NFL, which would enable some of her lucky fans to see the halftime show from the sidelines of the stage.
Last year, Coldplay headlined the Super Bowl 50, which featured appearances from Bruno Mars and Beyonce. The performance garnered approximately 111.9 million viewers, according to Billboard.
Fox Sports reports that with Lady Gaga’s massive following, the Super Bowl Halftime performance will be epic and will amass more viewers and recognition than expected.
Lady Gaga has too much on her plate this year following how big 2016 was for her. Albeit her huge heartbreak following her split with fiancé and boyfriend of five years Taylor Kinney in July, she was all over the place for the remainder of the year.
She opens up about her heartbreak saying that she and Kinney parted ways on amicable terms. Their split was mainly because they still wanted to pursue more things for themselves.
She added in a lengthy Instagram post that their fans still root for them as they still love and care for each other very much.
On a candid interview on “CBS Sunday Morning,” she hinted that the lack of privacy with A-list couples was one of the reasons why they broke up.
