The photo garnered more than 1.5 million likes and counting, including fellow Canadian musicians like Alessia Cara and Ria Mae.

Drake first appeared as an actor on the teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. He appeared in 145 episodes in the show from 2001 until 2007 and returned for several guest appearances until 2009. Drake plays Jimmy Brooks, a basketball star who was infamously shot at the back by a classmate then became physically disabled who uses a wheelchair. He decided to exit the show for good to pursue a career in music seriously.

Every time one of his episodes re-airs, he gets a check in the mail for a certain amount of money. That may explain the uploaded cheque on his Instagram account. For the information of everyone, actors receive royalties or residuals every time their show replays. These actors could live off with these checks for the rest of their lives if their work results in thousands of replay.

Degrassi: The Next Generation has been a critical success and has often received positive reviews. It was the most watched domestic drama series in Canada and one of the highest-rated shows on TeenNick in the United States.

Aubrey Drake Graham born on October 24, 1986 in Toronto, Canada is the hitmaker “Drake” we all know today. According to Forbes, the singer-songwriter and also a record producer have a net worth of 90 million dollars as of May 2017 thanks to his concert tours, endorsements from Apple and Sprite and being the most-streamed artist on the planet.

He released his debut studio album in 2010, Thank Me Later which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200. Including his next releases, it was all certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The thirty-year old is already a legend at a very young age. He holds several Billboard chart records. He has the most charted songs among solo artists in Billboard Hot 100 history, the most simultaneously charted Hot 100 songs in a single week and the most Hot 100 debuts in a week.

In his Instagram account, he’s username is Champagne Papi which is his pseudonym in the record label OVO Sound partnered with Noah “40” Shebib.

There are rumors that Drake wanted to get back to acting again. He claims it’s still his first love. Who says you can’t act and sing at the same time anyway? There are a lot of actor-musicians out there who balanced their career life in both directions. This time, Drake might get both “residuals” from his songs being replayed and from being an actor. Maybe he already is. Don’t spend it all in one place Drake!
